Permanent magnetic drums permit the continuos and automatic separation of ferrous materials. They are installed out of the conveyors either they are bands or slides or shaken tables, etc.. The magnetic core at adjustable rotation is placed while the rotating covering drags with itself the materials, deviating the ferrous pieces beyond the magnetic field.
The magnetic drum is therefore the most versatile separator as it can catch both big ferrous pieces and very thin materials that require very thin and uniform layers.
If it is required a very strong separation, it is better to use more thanone drum in fall. The rotation of the outside structure is given by a hub or by pulleys made out of alluminium flanges.
